Napoli skipper Hamsik close to China move

Napoli captain Marek Hamsik is pushing for a move to China and the Italian club are ready to give him the opportunity, coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Saturday.

Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang are reported to be close to ending the Slovak international's 11-year stay in Naples.

Ancelotti confirmed that Hamsik "is in negotiations and wants to have another experience".

"There are negotiations in progress, we have to evaluate them along with the player," Ancelotti told Sky Sport Italia.

Chinese clubs Guangzhou Evergrande, coached by former Napoli player Fabio Cannavaro, and Hebei China Fortune are also reported to be interested in acquiring his services.

The 31-year-old midfielder returned from injury as second-placed Napoli got back winning in Serie A with a 3-0 victory over Sampdoria, after being held by AC Milan last weekend before crashing out of the Coppa Italia.

"Napoli have a lot of respect for Hamsik, as he wrote history, but if he wants to have another experience, we tend to want to make him happy," continued Ancelotti.

Hamsik joined Napoli from Italian club Brescia in 2007 and has made over 500 appearances for the team.

The 111-times capped Slovak international overtook club legend Diego Maradona last season as the club's record goalscorer with 121.
